Gombe United mounted a late fightback, but a resolute defensive effort led by Jimoh Gbadamosi ensured a clean sheet and sealed Kwara’s progression.

Reacting to the victory, Coach Tunde Sanni expressed satisfaction with his team’s dominant performance, stating that their focus would now shift to their NPFL Matchday 33 clash against Plateau United in Jos on Sunday.

Kwara United will face the winner between Lobi Stars and Solution FC in the Round of 16.
