Belgore is a victim of political naivety - Kwara APC

Date: 2014-02-17

The Kwara State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has dismissed the statement credited to Mr Dele Belgore, that the APC will soon disintegrate as "unrealistic wish informed by Self – Centeredness and Political naivety".

The long-suffering of nigerians and misrule of the PDP led Federal government are components of Why the APC is in existence therefore issue of disintegration is unfounded. Relentlessly, we shall ensure purposeful leadership and better quality of life for nigerians.

Mr Belgore alleged APC of "undemocratic tendencies", he can not claim to know the PDP more than the founding fathers that have since abandoned the party for its undemocratic practices and mismanagement of the country, to our party mainly to salvage Nigeria. Nigerians need to know that Mr Belgore is not a member of PDP today due to assumed undemocratic tendencies in APC but for the resolve of our party to disengage all selfish interests including his. The question arise: Is he the only leader of the legacy parties? Why is he alone on the allegation of undemocratic tendencies in Kwara APC? He failed to see patriotic needs to relinquish personal interests and join other nigerians to collectively salvage Nigeria from the PDP having destroyed and divided the country across different ethnic and religious folds.

It betrays logic for Mr Belgore to think he can secure the "freedom" of kwarans under PDP, a party that has held nigerians hostage and arrested the development of the Country for years. Kwarans are free – the acceptability of the just concluded APC membership registration is an attestation.

Mr Belgore in an interview published by The Punch on 16th of March, 2013 declared: "APC is about putting the country first, President Jonathan lacks ability to solve nigeria’s problems and PDP has destroyed the country through abuse of power, intimidation and unholy alliances with institutions that should check it".

Nigerians need information on developments between 16th of March, 2013 and Now. During this period, the PDP led federal government has coordinated the stealing or missing of more billion dollars than nigerians have suffered from the PDP government in the past. Mr Belgore should tell kwarans and Nigerians how much he got from our stolen wealth?

We assure our members and supporters that the movement of Mr Belgore from defunct ACN to the sinking PDP has no alteration on the election winning machinery of APC has presently constituted in Kwara State.

Alhaji Suliamon Olatunji,
Interim PRO, Kwara APC
16th of february, 2014.
