Mr Love Adeyemi has been re-elected as the Chairman, Senior Staff Union in Colleges of Education, Nigeria (SSUCOEN), College of Education, Oro, Kwara chapter.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Adeyemi was re-elected at the union's elective congress on Friday in Oro, Irepodun Local Government Area of the state.

Mr Rabiu Olagoke also returned unopposed as the Vice Chairman, while Taibat Bolanta maintained her Secretaryship position.

Rukayat Malik emerged as the Treasurer again, Yusuf Abdullahi was re-elected as the Financial Secretary, while the Public Relation Officer position was taken by Yakub Isiaka.

In his acceptance speech, Adeyemi promised to serve the union faithfully and intensify efforts in maintaining the successes that have been recorded in the past.

The chairman however appealed to members of the union to cooperate with the executive in order to uplift their status.

NAN also reports that the amended law of SSUCOEN now provides for a single term of five years as against the four-year double term.
