Lai Mohammed mourns Kwara traditional ruler, Olupo of Ajasse-IpoPublished on

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has expressed sadness over the passing of Oba Sikiru Atanda Woleola, the Olupo of Ajasse-Ipo, a first-class traditional ruler in Kwara State.

The Minister described the death as a great loss not just to his family and community but to the entire state.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday, the Minister said the Olupo will be sorely missed for his wisdom, his love of the people and the rare leadership he provided during his memorable reign.

He expressed his deepest condolences to His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State; the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari; the late Olupo's immediate and extended family, friends and associates as well as all the sons and daughters of Ajasse-Ipo, praying that God will give them the fortitude to bear the loss
