The appointment of a former National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, as the Director-General/Chief Executive of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) has been described as a befitting one that would help the nation to get it right.

This assertion was made by the umbrella sociocultural organisation of the good people of Ilorin Emirate in Kwara State, Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), while reacting to the appointment of Mallam Issa-Onilu.

The National Publicity Secretary of the Union, Mallam Nurudeen Ibrahim, in a statement issued on behalf of the Union's National President, Alhaji Aliyu Otta Uthman, fsi, said that as an accomplished journalist and foremost public relations practitioner, the Director-General has all it takes to discharge his duties creditably.

Alhaji Uthman, who described the new Director -General as an illustrious son of Ilorin Emirate and accomplished media professional, said that the Union is very optimistic that Mallam Issa-Onilu would make success of the appointment.

The statement thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment of Mallam Isaa-Onilu as it expressed the conviction that more federal appointments would come the way of qualified and deserving indigenes of the Ilorin Emirate.

The statement wished Mallam Issa-Onilu a very peaceful, productive and rewarding tenure of office.
