The second edition of the annual Ramadan lecture of Kwara State council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) will hold on Friday 23rd June, 2017.

The lecture tagged "Amudalat Aremu/NUJ Ramadan Memorial Lecture", which is being organized in honour of late Hajia Amudalat Aremu, wife of Vice President, Industriall Global Union, Comrade Issa Obalowu Aremu, will take place at Abubakar Sola Saraki Pen House, Offa Road, GRA, Ilorin at 3:30pm.

This was contained in a statement jointly signed by the state Chairman of NUJ, Comrade Abiodun Abdulkareem and Secretary, Organizing Committee, Mr Ahmed Abdullateef.

The statement said two prominent Islamic scholars would deliver sermons on the topics "Recession In Nigeria: Causes and Solutions From The Islamic Point of View, and Promotion of National Unity and Peaceful Co-existence in Nigeria : The Islamic Approach" at the annual lecture.

It said while the state Commissioner for Information and Communications, Alhaji Mahmud Babatunde Ajeigbe will be Special Guest Honour, General Managers of Media Houses in the state are Special Guests.

The statement added that the former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon AbdulAzeez Babatunde Mohammed, will be Chairman of the occasion.
