Special Church Services were held today across Kwara State in North central Nigeria to mark the resurrection of Jesus Christ on the cross of calvary.

In Ilorin the state Capital, Christians used the occasion to thank God for his mercy and blessing to witness another Easter Sunday.

In his sermon, Reverend Idowu Ibitoye of Unity Baptist Church, Ilorin who spoke on the topic "Easter: the victory to all" called on Christians to be dedicated and serve God faithfully as eternal rewards await everyone.

Reverend Ibitoye who is the State Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria charged Christians in leadership positions "to emulate the leadership qualities of Jesus Christ by showing love, faithfulness, commitment and diligence at their places of service".

The Cleric urged Nigerians to extend hand of generosity to the needy around them and live a life of humility at all times.

Reverend Joseph Olabanji Agboluaje of ECWA church emphasized that Easter is about Hope to mankind and charged Christians "to live a worthy life to testify to this reality".

The General Overseer of the New Life Holy Trinity Chapel, Pastor Idowu Constain implored Christians to let the lesson of the Lenten period be their watchwords and also to be their brother's keeper.

Pastor Constain also cautioned Christians from engaging in acts that was against the will of God in their life.

In her part, Prophetess Cecilia lbrahim of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church admonished Christians "to be faithful to God and mankind so that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ would not be in vain".
