Kwara Government Set To Train 4,333 Teachers

The Kwara State Executive Council has approved the retraining of four thousand three hundred and thirty three (4,333) primary school teachers across the state who although have gone through the Nigeria Certificate of Education (NCE) but are not specialized in primary education .

Similarly, the council has approved the redeployment of teachers without basic teaching qualification into of the state civil service.

Briefing newsmen on the outcome of the meeting, the State Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Saka Onimago disclosed that the first batch of primary school teachers who lack proper primary education qualification would engage in three month sandwich programme to be organised by the Kwara State University (KWASU) and the University of Ilorin.
