Kwara Govt Pledges Investment in Youth Empowerment Livestock Production to Curb Unemployment
The Kwara State Government has expressed its commitment to invest strategically in youth empowerment and livestock production to grow the economy and significantly reduce unemployment in the State.
The State Commissioner for Youth Development, Ndanusa Shehu, stated this at a Stakeholders' Engagement organized by the Ministry in partnership with the Kwara State Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES), held in Ilorin.
The Commissioner lauded Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for creating the enabling environment and providing the necessary financial and institutional support that has made youth empowerment possible.
Ndanusa urged stakeholders to take full advantage of the various financial opportunities and intervention programmes provided by the state government and utilize them judiciously for sustainable development.
He specifically advised students and the youths to think innovatively and proactively, emphasizing the importance of self-reliance through the acquisition and practical application of vocational and entrepreneurial skills.
