NBTE Grants Kwara State Polytechnic Full Accreditation and New Programmes
The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has authorised full accreditation for all programmes submitted by Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, following the Board's recent accreditation and resource inspection visit.
The NBTE has also approved the introduction of several new National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes, set to commence in the 2025/2026 academic session.
In a letter signed by Dr Fatima Umar, Director of Polytechnic and Allied Programmes, the NBTE outlined the approval of new ND programmes, including pioneering courses such as Medical Imaging, Health Information Management, Industrial and Labour Relations, Law, and Chemical Engineering Technology, among others.
Additionally, the Board authorised HND programmes in Agribusiness Technology, Crop Production Technology, Journalism and Media Studies, Tourism Management Technology, Mechatronics Engineering, and Urban and Regional Planning, among others.
In his reaction, the rector of the Polytechnic, Dr Abdul Jimoh Mohammed acknowledged the thoroughness of the NBTE accreditation team and expressed gratitude for their constructive feedback.
He assured that the management of the institution is committed to maintaining the highest educational standards.
