Kwara Pilgrims Begin Mandatory Vaccinations Ahead of 2025 Hajj
The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has begun vaccinating 2,174 intending pilgrims ahead of the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.
At the launch ceremony held at the board's premises in Ilorin, Executive Secretary Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkadir stated that immunisation is a mandatory requirement by the Saudi government for all pilgrims.
He highlighted its importance in safeguarding health and preventing disease transmission during the Hajj.
Alhaji Abdulkadir added that the vaccination programme aims to ensure a safe and healthy pilgrimage experience for all participants. The first group of Kwara's intending pilgrims is scheduled to depart for Saudi Arabia on 12 May 2025.
The Executive Secretary said the vaccination exercise will end on Wednesday 30/4/205, while the distribution of uniforms and travel bags will follows immediately.
Alhaji Abdulkadir appealed to all intending pilgrims to complete all necessary medical and travel arrangements within the stipulated timeline to ensure hitch free Hajj exercise.
