A distinguished member of the Ilorin Emirate Durbar Committee, Dr. Alabi Salihu Hammed, who is also a lecturer in the Department of Politics and Governance at Kwara State University, Malete, has an impressive academic and professional background.

Dr. Hammed earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and International Studies in 2005, a Bachelor of Arts in Security and Strategic Studies, and most recently, a PhD in Peace and Development Studies in 2023, all from the University of Ilorin, known as the "Better By Far" university.

Dr. Hammed has amassed significant experience in public service, having served as Protocol Officer to three consecutive Kwara State Governors: Dr. Bukola Saraki (2010), Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed (2011-2019), and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (2019-2020). Prior to his current academic role, he worked as an Administrative Officer at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Technology.

His area of Interest includes, Religious conflicts among Muslim clerics, Security and Strategic Studies, Conflicts Resolution and Analysis. He has supervised more than 10 students thesis in Political science, Public Administration and strategic studies. He published in local, national and international journals. He is married to Dr. HADIZAT Salihu and their marriage is blessed with children.
