Kwara State has won its first gold at the ongoing 7th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.

The duo defeated their counterparts from Delta State by three straight sets (15, 7; 15, 8; and 25, 7).

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq had committed huge resources to improve the sports sector of the state, including infrastructure renewal and better welfare for athletes.

Coach Kehinde Aiyelabegan told journalists that the athletes went through rigorous training at the open and close camps before the national championship.
