Abdulrazaq needs prayers to succeed- Matawali of Ilorin
Mutawali of Ilorin, Dr. Alimi Abdulrazaq has urged residents of the state not to stop in their prayers for the administration of Governor AbdulRaman Abdulrazaq to succeed and deliver dividends of democracy in his second term.
Abdulrazaq said that the re-election of Governor Abdulrazaq in the march 18 governorship election, was a great honour done to the family of late AbdulGaniyu Folorunsho AbdulRazaq (SAN).
The late Abdulrazaq, the father of the incumbent governor was the first lawyer in northern Nigeria and the first Mutawali of Ilorin.
He spoke in Ilorin, the state capital at a victory get-together organized by the Special Assistant on Inter-Party Affairs to Governor Abdulrazaq, Moshood Alaka.
Deputy Governor of the state, Kayode Alabi, cabinet members and members-elect of the Kwara state House of Assembly, and state APC chairman Prince Sunday Fagbemi also attended the event.
Earlier in his remarks, Alaka said that the APC recorded a landslide victory in the poll because of the achievements recorded of the governor, adding that prompted the electorate to participate in a “decision that set Kwara free from unsympathetic leaders.
“The victory has come from all of us because we have consolidated our efforts and resolved to return Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for another four 4 years in Office.
‘’Our Government will also build on this trust to give equitable opportunities to all Kwarans irrespective of our ideologies, family backgrounds, or political affiliation. This is what we want and have seen as Kwarans that’s giving our party the success we have recorded in this administration.”
