The state NULGE chairman, Alhaji Yusuf Ayinla Salihu, while reacting to Khaleel's demise, said the NULGE president passed on at a time when he was needed most in Kwara NULGE.
Salihu said: "Khaleel was a freedom fighter; he understood the nooks and crannies of local government administration system. He tried his best in the fight for survival of democracy and local government autonomy in Nigeria. He had played his part and gone, we must continue the struggle.
"His death is a big loss to us not only to the union but to the entire labour force and the country as a whole. He died at a time when his leadership was needed most in Kwara NULGE . We loved him, but Allah knows best .We pray Allah to comfort his family and grant him aljanat firdaus."
