The Herald Chapel of Kwara State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has applauded the President of the Senate, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, for the appointment of Alhaji Abdullahi Olesin as his Senior Legislative Aide on Media Matters.

The NUJ Chapel described the appointment of Olesin, a one-time Editor of The Herald Newspaper, as well deserved.

A statement issued in Ilorin by the Chairman and Secretary of The Herald Chapel of NUJ, Mr Feruke Yusuf and Mr Ahmed Abdullateef, respectively, said Olesin with his experience spanning decades in Journalism profession, had proved his mettle as a responsible and responsive pen pusher.

The statement said the appointment of Olesin came at the appropriate time, pointing out that it would enable contribute his quota to the media management of the President of the Senate.

Until his appointment, Alhaji Abdullahi was the North Central Regional Editor of Leadership Newspaper and once served as Editor of The Herald Newspaper.
