Kwara State Govt. Sets Up Committee to Assess Ministries, Others
The Kwara State Government has inaugurated a committee to scrutinize the performances of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in line with the state's Medium Term Sectoral Strategy (MTSS).
Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Isiaka Gold, who inaugurated the committee on Monday stressed that it has become necessary for government to review the activities of its key bodies to enhance their performances in order to meet identified goals and objectives.
Alhaji Gold who is also the chairman of the committee, highlighted the committee's term of reference, saying that it was aimed at assessing the performance of Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs) in the state in their strict compliance with the government's Medium Term Sectoral Strategy (MTSS).
A statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ahmed on Media and Communications, Dr. Muhideen Akorede, said the committee was also saddled with the responsibilities of identifying and implementing road maps for MDAs for the next year, based on current realities and yearnings and aspirations of the people in the state.
He therefore charged members of the committee to see their assignment as with utmost diligence, objectivity and fairness, bearing in mind the present administration's focus on delivering its shared prosperity to the people on a timely and efficient basis".
Members of the committee include the state Head of Service, Alhaji Mohammed Dabarako, Commissioner for Works and Transport, Dr. Abubakar Kannike, Special a call to duty and "discharge it Adviser on Communication and Strategy, Alhaji Raheem Adedoyin, and the Director-General, Bureau of Lands, Mr. Tope Daramola.
Others are Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Primary Health, Prof. Babatunde Opabola, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Dr. Muhideen Akorede, Senior Special Assistant on SMEs, Alhaji Lukman Adams, and Senior Special Assistant on Investment and Strategy, Mr. Abayomi Ogunsola.
