The Kwara State Government has commenced online registration for the 2026 Placement Examination into public junior secondary schools across the state.

The Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development announced that the registration exercise, popularly known as the Common Entrance Examination, is completely free and will be conducted through a dedicated online platform.

According to the ministry, registration will commence as follows:

Registration Schedule

- Private Primary Schools: Tuesday, June 9, 2026
- Public Primary Schools: Friday, June 12, 2026
- Closing Date (All Schools): Monday, June 22, 2026

The ministry explained that registration will be carried out through pupils' current primary schools and is strictly open to Primary Six pupils in approved public and private primary schools across Kwara State.

To ensure proper coordination and compliance, all private primary schools are required to obtain clearance from the Quality Assurance Bureau of the Ministry before accessing portal login credentials for registration.

Detailed registration guidelines and procedures are available on the portal.

The ministry further disclosed that the date for the examination will be announced in due course. The examination will be conducted in designated public junior secondary schools across the state.

Parents, guardians, headteachers, and other stakeholders are advised to adhere strictly to the registration timeline and guidelines to ensure a seamless, transparent, and successful exercise.

The ministry reiterated that the Kwara State Government has fully funded both the registration and examination processes. Consequently, no pupil or parent is expected to make any payment whatsoever.

The government, therefore, warns that any principal, headteacher, or other official found collecting money from candidates or their parents under any guise will be sanctioned in accordance with the law.

This initiative underscores the commitment of the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to expanding equitable access to quality education and leveraging technology to improve service delivery in the education sector.
