Kwara FA Chairman Urges United to Aim for Victory in CAF Clash Against Asante Kotoko
As Kwara United prepare to face Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko in the CAF Confederation Cup, the Chairman of the Kwara State Football Association, Mallam Idris Musa Thuraya, has urged the Harmony Boys to go all out and secure maximum points in the crucial encounter.
Speaking ahead of the match, Mallam Thuraya emphasised the importance of winning the first leg to ease the pressure in subsequent fixtures.
He encouraged the players to remain focused, disciplined, and determined throughout the competition.
The FA Chairman commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his unwavering support for the team.
"I want to thank and appreciate His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the physical and financial support he has given to Kwara United. This is the second continental campaign the club is featuring in under his leadership, and we are grateful for his commitment to sports development," he said.
Mallam Thuraya expressed his full support for Kwara United to continue playing their continental matches at home, noting that home advantage plays a vital role in boosting the players' morale.
He also called on football stakeholders, fans, and supporters to rally behind the team with prayers and encouragement as they strive to bring continental glory to Kwara State.
