The Kwara State Government, under the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has unveiled the prototype for a new multi-storey hospital complex being constructed at the Civil Service Clinic in Ilorin. This project aims to provide residents with access to quality and timely healthcare services.

The AbdulRazaq-led administration initiated the construction of the state-of-the-art facility several months ago to address the increasing demand for secondary health services in the state's capital. The new hospital complex will replace the existing structure with a larger, more modern facility, easing the pressure on the General Hospital Ilorin (now Kwara State University Teaching Hospital) and enhancing healthcare accessibility for the growing population.

The multi-storey hospital complex, which will wipe off the existing structure for a bigger and more accommodating structure, will help reduce the number of residents that visit the General Hospital Ilorin, now Kwara State University Teaching Hospital, for health reasons and services.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's huge investment in the health sector in the last five years hasn't only improved the quality of health services in the state but has also drawn commendations for him from well-meaning Kwarans and health workers.

In 2023, His Excellency Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq approved the payment of new hazard and skipping allowances to medical doctors, including 100% CONMESS to encourage health workers. In addition, he has fixed several of the hospitals he met in sordid conditions when he resumed office in 2019.
