Kwara NDLEA Arrests 363 Suspects, Seizes Nearly 500kg of Narcotics
According to a news report from Daily Trust, the Kwara State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced the arrest of 363 suspects and the seizure of 495.166 kilograms of narcotics between January and June this year.
The state commander, Mohammed Ibrahim, revealed this information while discussing activities planned for the upcoming drug week in Ilorin.
He also noted that the command had intercepted 61.5 litres of schoches and over 50 litres of codeine-based syrup.
Among the arrested suspects, 317 are male and 46 are female.
He further said that during the weeklong programme, 20 schools would be engaged and educated on the dangers of drug abuse among students.
