National Orientation Agency Director Discusses Mission on Diamond FM 88.7
According to a news report from the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, the Director General of NOA, recently appeared as a guest on Diamond FM 88.7 in Ilorin, Kwara State.
During his interview, he delved into NOA's evolution since its inception in 1988 and its pivotal role in Nigeria, highlighting key mandates such as citizen sensitisation, promotion of good character, advocacy for citizen rights, and gathering feedback.
Issa-Onilu underscored NOA's collaboration with various media platforms and ongoing efforts to engage the public effectively. He also discussed initiatives aimed at revitalising the agency's workforce, addressing challenges, and promoting positive values through ventures like the National Values Charter.
Furthermore, he revealed plans to tackle issues such as the abuse of the Naira, with NOA issuing warnings to media and entertainment associations regarding their role in sensitising citizens and safeguarding national symbols.
In conclusion, Issa-Onilu reiterated NOA's dedication to informing citizens about policies and fostering positive change through collective action.
