Yesterday, Saturday 5th February 2023, HRM Oba Mufutau Muhammed Gbadamosi Ajagungbade I Esuwoye II, Olofa of Offa joined by the National President of Offa Descendants Union, Alhaji Muideen Abdulaziz Salako and some executives of the union took delivery of the modern Fire Fighting Truck from the Federal Fire Service ahead of the commissioning of the newly established Offa Area Command of the service.

The truck was delivered by the Kwara State Commandant of the Federal Fire Service, Mrs. Mary Bakare, who was accompanied by the Area Commandant of the service, Mr. Ali Sikiru.

HRM in his remarks expressed sincere appreciation to the Honourable Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, and the Controller-General of Federal Fire Service, Engr Jaji Olola Abdulganiyu for choosing Offa as the location of the new command.

Kabiyesi Olofa also extended utmost gratitude to the ODU under the leadership of Alhaji Muideen Abdulaziz Salako for their swift response and administrative role in securing the approval for the command. Also, to the Asiwaju of Offa, Chief Tajudeen Owoyemi, and Dr. Awa Ibrahim Brimo for their immense contributions towards securing a property to house the new command.

Finally, to the other individuals who have contributed in various capacities to actualize this milestone, we pray that God almighty rewards you all.
