Centre for Peace and Value Reorientation (CPVR), a non-governmental organisation with tentacles across the country, today, presented an award of Integrity Stewardship to the honourable Commissioner for Energy, Hon. Lafia Aliyu Kora Sabi.

In his speech, the Executive Director of the Organisation, Comrade Abubakar Oyibo said the award was born out of the background assessment carried out on the Commissioner and the ministry as a whole. He said in the course of the assessment, the organisation avoided any form of direct contact with whom the assessment is being carried on, so as to avoid any possible inducement.

The statements read in part: "we have carefully looked into the policy performance from ministry of Energy currently manned by honourable Commissioner for Energy, Hon. Lafia Aliyu Kora Sabi. In this respect, we have seen the outstanding performance of this ministry under the leadership of governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq"

"we have carried out assessment on display of ethical leadership of yourself, even before you came in as Energy Commissioner. Your public accessibility has also motivated us.

" As for the Ministry, the developmental policy performance, the work ethics compliance, administrative discipline, team work are all okey by us".

"On this note, you are hereby presented a certificate of integrity stewardship service Ambassador, this day, 26th August 2021, Congratulations!"

In his response, the honourable Commissioner thanked the Organisation for deeming him fit to be honoured. He encouraged civil servant and political office holders to inculcate the habit of diligence in the discharge of their duties, as rewards can come from any angle.
