Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has rejoiced with a first class traditional ruler in Kwara State Professor Halidu Abubakar on his birthday anniversary, urging him to continue to offer himself to the service of God and humanity.

“The Governor felicitates with the Emir of Ilesha Baruba Prof. Halidu Abubakar on his birthday anniversary and commends him for his efforts at maintaining peace in his domain,” according to a statement by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Rafiu Ajakaye.

AbdulRazaq described the monarch as an accomplished scholar who rose to the peak of his academic career before ascending the throne of his forefathers.

“His Excellency promises to continue to support Prof. Abubakar in maintaining peace, unity and understanding among his subjects in the interest of the state. The Governor also says he will continue to ensure that sustainable development is spread to every part of the state, including Ilesha Baruba," the statement said.

“He prays the Almighty God to grant the Emir good health and more rewarding years on the throne.”
