Emir of Ilorin: 25 years of Prosperous Reign

Date: 2020-11-11

Kwara State has witnessed unprecedented tremendous development since the ascendance of Dr Ibrahim Sulu Gambari to the throne of his forefathers. The ancient city of Ilorin in particular has also developed in leap and bounds now flourishing as a cosmopolitan in Nigeria.

Undoubtedly, the reign of Your Royal Highness has brought peace and tranquillity to the Ilorin Emirate and its environ and has attracted and retained non-indigenes into the city as residents; a situation which demonstrates your high level of tolerance, compassion and wisdom.

As a detribalised leader, you have been a father to all within your domain irrespective of background or ethnicity, Little wonder ilorin has continued to grow from strength to strength ?and remained a home away from home to many.

As we mark the 25th Anniversary of Your Royal Highness on the throne it is my prayer that Allah bestow our father, the Emir of Ilorin, with sound health and more wisdom to enable his reign continue to bring more peace, tranquillity and de?velopment to Ilorin Emirate, Kwara State and Nigeria at large.

Sgd.

Rt. Dr. Ali Ahmad

Former Speaker, KWHA
