Date: 2016-08-22

Nigerians have been charged not to allow religion and politics divide the country and create disunity among different ethnic groups.

The Founder of the Passionate Heart Empowerment Foundation and Wife of the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Hajia Maryam Jumain Usman Yasin made the call while flagging off free health programme for members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers in Kwara State, held at Ero Omo offa garage.

According to her, there will not be rapid development in the country if the people remained divided along religions and political lines, adding that the nation would overcome the current economic crisis if Nigerians are united.

Hajia Maryam Usman -Yasin stressed the need for Nigerians to build love, oneness and unity to foster growth and development of the country.

Speaking on the health programme, the Initiator of the Foundation noted that the Non Governmental Organization decided to embark on the programme to assist the less privileged in the society and alleviate their sufferings.

Hajia Maryam Usman -Yasin added that the Foundation had also embarked on such programme in Kano and Lagos states, noting that such efforts was also done with donation of good and food items to the Internally Displaced Persons in the North East.
