Bye election: INEC presents Certificate of Return to winner in Kwara State

Certificate of Return has been presented to the winner of Oke Ero State Constituency bye election, Mrs Victoria Afolayan of All Progressives Congress, APC.

The presentation was done by INEC Administrative Secretary in Kwara state, Mr Christian Nwosu at the Commission's headquarters in Ilorin. Mr Nwosu attributed the success of the election to cooperation from political parties, security agencies and the electorate.

In a remark, Mrs Afolayan expressed appreciation to everyone who supported her and promised the people of Oke Ero qualitative representation at the state assembly.

The ceremony was witnessed by APC party chieftains, including the State Chairman, Ishola Balogun Fulani and Chairperson of Oke Ero local govt, Hajia Ameena Yusuf.

Mrs Victoria Bunmi Afolayan won the Oke Ero State Assembly bye election with a total votes of five thousand, three hundred and forty four to beat her closest rival Adeoti Oluwanishola Aare of the Peoples Democratic Party who has one thousand, two hundred and forty eight votes, while Kemi Famuwagun of KOWA party has thirty five votes.
