CCT: ADA calls for National APC intervention
A call has gone to the All Progressives Congress (APC) party in the country to intervene in the ongoing matter between the Code of Conduct Bureau(CCB) and the President of the senate Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki.
This was contained in a statement signed by the National President Agbaji Development Association (ADA), ALH. Abdulmuhmeen Tayo Moyosore after the stakeholders' meeting of the association.
The statement recalled the efforts of Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki in the course of struggle to bring the APC to power in Nigeria. The statement highlighted the contribution of the senate president which included: Leading of seven state governors from PDP to APC, despite the fact that two of the governors backed out, the seven states were still delivered to APC in the 2015 general elections. The statement stressed that the senate president used his material, manpower, personal resources and wealth of political experience during the course of the struggle.
He said that Senator Bukola Saraki's efforts during the primary election that made the present Nigerian president a flag bearer of the APC cannot be forgotten. Nigerians should not forget how Saraki led scores of senators to cross over to the APC on the floor of the then Senate controlled by the PDP.
However, the victory of APC during the last general elections could not have been possible without courageous strategist Saraki who lent their political weight in favour of the APC at the risk of their own lives. The statement therefore implored APC leaders to see Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki as the material to yesterday, today and future elections victory of the APC in the country.
