The Oni Ganmo of Ganmo in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State,HRH,Alhaji Zubar Hannafi has called on the state government to provide adequate security on the major Ganmo/Ilorin road to prevent accidents.

The traditional ruler who made the call in an exclusive interview with The Herald, said adequate security will reduce accident particularly on every market days in the town.

Alhaji Zubar Hannafi thanked the state government for various support rendered to the town, particularly in the areas of good road, electricity among other facilities.

Oba Zubar appealed to the government to provide demarcation on the road and the popular Ganmo market. 'Some of the motorists plying Ilorin / Ganmo /Ajase-Ipo road always drive without putting into consideration the pedestrians'. He added that the market since inception had been serving as good economic value to the community and the state entirely.

The ruler explained that the traders in the market comprising people of the state and other people from the neighbouring states, has promoted business of other states because they bring their goods for sale in the market'.

He said the community has also put in place, proper measure to safe guard the lives and property of traders from and within the town. 'Is hardly you hear of accident during the market days , because we are doing our best to save our people's lives.
