I'll Win Kwara Guber Polls - Omotosho

Date: 2015-04-07

The gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Kwara State, Mike Omotosho, has assured his supporters that the historic victory of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, presidential candidate of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) over the incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan in the March 28 election, will be replicated by him in Kwara State come April 11 governorship election.

In a statement issued yesterday by his media aide, Folami Onirinwa, Omotosho said the declaration of Buhari as the president-elect has demystified the power of incumbency.

The front line governorship hopeful noted that although the president-elect contested and won on the platform of APC, the incumbent governor, Alhaji Ahmed Abdulfatah who is the APC candidate in Kwara State cannot be a beneficiary as the message from the presidential poll was that of demystification of incumbency.

"At the national level, APC and Buhari stood for change. Unfortunately, the APC as currently configured in Kwara State does not represent the change that the people of Kwara State crave because Abdulfatah is Kwara's Jonathan".

The people are tired of the cluelessness of the incumbent and have resolved to have their own Buhari in Omotosho. Consequently the past few days, our popularity in all the 16 local government areas has soared.
