Atunwa Reinstates Commitment Towards Development

Date: 2015-03-25

As the 2015 elections draw near, the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly and the All Progressive Congress candidate for House of Representatives under Asa/Ilorin West Federal Constituency has said he will maintain enviable development standards by ensuring infrastructural growth in urban and rural settlements if elected.

Atunwa who made this known during a campaign tour to various communities in Asa Local Government said he will do everything possible to ensure that development is not slowed down in any way by the unpleasant financial weather, stressing that if elected, he is poised to meet and surpass the target he has set for the development of the constituency.

Recounting happenings in previous years under the leadership of Governor Ahmed of the All Progressive Congress, Atunwa pointed out that the slow pace of development of in the state was due to financial challenge when allocation from the Federation Account dipped too low than what the state used to get.

However, the Speaker noted that ongoing projects such as rural electrification projects, road construction and rehabilitation in the constituency will continue as new ones will commence at the shortest delay possible.

"I want to appreciate you all for your unfailing support for the All Progressive Congress in spite of daunting financial challenge from the Federal Government. As elections approach speedily, I call on you all to be prepared to vote in APC candidates for Presidency, Senate and House of Representatives in order to redeem Nigeria from the hands of the PDP Federal Government that has hardened the situation of Nigerians.

"Also we must be vigilant and ready to defend our votes after casting them on Election Day. We must take conscious steps to monitor and report all suspicious activities and strange behaviours capable of undermining the electoral processes. Vote for APC and stand with your votes until they are counted and announced

"We must brace up to the responsibility of developing our constituency, state, and nation, generate our own income through productivity and wealth creation and change the culture of dependency on others for our sustenance through empowerment for youths and women. This is only possible if we vote massively for APC. We must not be intimidated by security operatives, they are designed to keep voters safe" he stated

Responding to Barr. Atunwa who visited Eiyenkorin, Otte, Igboroko, Afon among other communities in Asa, the Baale of Afon commended Atunwa for his stewardship to the people of Asa in series of developmental strides over the years.

More also, the constituents in Igboroko assured Barr. Razak Atunwa of their full support in the forthcoming elections. They expressed their readiness and passion to vote for all APC candidates, stating that it's imperative to vote a performing government like that of APC to witness progress in the state and nation as a whole.
