He noted that with his intervention in the finding of lasting solutions to the acute shortage of water in Patigi, headquarters of Patigi Local government of Kwara State, "there is hope for the people of the area in overcoming their numerous challenges."

The lawmaker stated this yesterday while speaking with journalists shortly after the inspection of the N1 billion Patigi Water Supply Project by members of the committee.

Hon. Pategi who represents Edu/Patigi/Moro federal constituency expressed joy over the work done and commended the contractor, handling the project Mr. Rafi Cohen of Gilmor Engineering, for his commitment to work despite the megre payment of 26 percent out of the total sum of the contract released to him.

Earlier, the Etsu Patigi, Alhaji Ibrahim Chatta, had appealed to the national assembly to assist in the facilitation of the rehabilitation of the road leading to the community stressing that " I don't think there is any road which is as bad as ours.

"I will want you to assist us to liase with the federal Road Maintenance Agency, FERMA, as well as other concern authorities to come to our rescue towards the rehabilitation of our roads."

The monarch however lamented over the non-availability of drinkable water despite the closeness of the community to the confluence of Rivers Niger and Kaduna even as he extolled the virtues of Hon. Ahmna Pategi towards the growth of his constituency.
