THE ILORIN METROPEACE AGENTS ON *ORO TONLO* PROGRAMME IN ROYAL FM; WEDNESDAY 3RD JANUARY 2018

*Concerning the rumour on the incident happened on the last day of year 2017; 31st December; new year eve, particularly between the two religions organizations; *QOUREEB* and *CATHOLIC CHURCH* respectively.

According to the *Ilorin Mertropeace and Security Initiative* group's chaiirman; (Alhaj Abdullah Yusuf) came together with some other executives of the organization to the programme, directed by *ALHA'J ABDULFATAH DAN KAZEEM* explained thus??
"Though I wasn't there when the incident started but I received a call around 2:20am from some of my co members reported to have said; the incident started by a lady with some *hoodlum* who wanted to rape her even in the present of her mother, after which she had been naked by them, while these hoodlum guys still pooling the lady mother's breast. The lady was described to be a Muslim.
This was taking place at the opposite side of QOUREEB, probably prone to this church than QOUREEB.It was the Church security who saw this and intended to rescue this lady, especially because of the extremely unpleasant position she was at that time (naked).
While the church security took the lady inside the Church especially to cloth her, so as these *hoodlum*guys started from few number of 5,6,and later almost 40 in number rushed inside the church challenging the security for taking her inside the church for rescue. This lead them to the destroying of different things in the church, and almost 20 cars outside were affected. They still beated a woman praying inside the church and collected many things from them, such as money, phone etc.
From there, they started shooting guns. While the church security noticed that this had beyond their power, he quickly called on the policemen for security purpose.
At this moment, the QOUREEB people inside UNITED secondary school didnt know that anything was taking place outside, because they were at the prayer point.
These *tough* guys still faced the security agents which included the *Operation harmony* also and destroyed almost 4 of their vehicles. Because of this, they also started shooting and exploding the tear gas. It was one of the tear gas threw up that exploded inside the QOUREEB praying ground. At first place, they didn't know also that it was tear gas, but thought it was what so called *banger*. But when this started affecting people, especially those who alleged to it, people started jumping over each others, matching over each other all in the name of saving themselves, so also these *hooligans* also ran inside QOUREEB and started breaking the United school and QOUREEB praying ground's fence. Also another church opposite Catholic church ran the hooligans there and broke down the gate of the church, burnt 3 motorcycle machine and many other things inside this church.
This continued till when the community protector agents faced them with the policemen, while they ran away stopped at the Taiwo junction still shooting guns.
The intention of the Community agent in running after them was to try and catch some of them, believing that those caught ones will locate others."

This is the summary report of what happened according to *ALHA'J BOLAJI UTHMAN GAMBARI*; the ILORIN MERTROPEACE SECRETARY GENERAL on *ORO TONLO* programme on ROYAL FM.

SUMMARY
#The crises/riots/incident wasn't a religious one, nor caused by any of the religion's group; *QOUREEB* and *CATHOLIC CHURCH*

As at 3rd of January 2018, about 33 of these crises agents; *hoodlum* have been caught, while investigation continues on them to make Justice.
#The Kwara State government, under the administration of *Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmad* had taken step on this issue within the day of the incident by inviting the *CAN*(Christian Association of Nigeria) yesterday; Tuesday 2/1/208 around 1-2pm to counsel them on how the peace will rain in Kwara State between both religions.
The same invitation and counsel was made to the Jamuiyat QOUREEB also around 2-3pm of the same day, and to counsel their followers.
