Kwara: NSCDC promotes 239 junior officers
The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has elevated 239 junior officers of the command.
Addressing the newly-promoted officers at the corps headquarters in Ilorin, the state Commandant of the Civil Defence Corps, Iskilu Ayinla Makinde, admonished them to be more alive to their responsibilities and shun any act that could tarnish the good image of the Corps.
He noted that the relative peace being enjoyed in the state was largely due to the great and excellent working relationship among all the security agencies in the state.
“While I would like to congratulate you on your new ranks, I want you to see your new position as another call to duty and for you to be more proactive and committed to ensuring the security of lives and property in the state.”
He charged them to leverage the good working relationship that exists among all the security agencies in the state and ensure they always protect the good image of the corps anywhere they find themselves.
A total of 239 officers that cut across level four to level seven benefited from the promotion exercise.
They all promised to be more diligent and hardworking in order to rid the state of criminal elements.
