Health scheme to cover 16 LGs in Kwara
Dr AbdulRahman Oba-Sulaiman, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Health Insurance, disclosed this in IIorin while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
He said the state government decided to involve so many communities to allow a large number of people benefit from the programme.
The governor's aide also said the state government had signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Dutch Government and an NGO, Hygiea, to further expand the programme.
Oba-Sulaiman further said his office was collaborating with the National Health Insurance Scheme to ensure the success of the programme.
Government, he added, was determined to ensure that the people of the state had access to quality healthcare. (NAN)
