He said both youth and leaders of the nine communities met and reached an agreement to demand for pre-paid metres from PHCN because of incessant power outage and unreasonable bills.

Abdulateef also said that the meeting was held because of the unethical billing and disconnection made by PHCN.

“We are tired of irregular power supply and unethical billing/ disconnection, we demand improvement in the service and billing by PHCN without delay,” he said.

The communities involved were Opomalu/Saboline, Adualere, Isale Dumo, Isale Koko, Ipata/Ojagboro, Okesuna/Isale-Maliki, Gambari, Mubo, Amilegbe and Adewusi.

Warning posters were distributed and pasted in many places with such messages as “NO LIGHT, NO PAYMENT”  GIVE US PRE-PAID METRE!
