Kwara Govt and TETFund Strengthen Education Partnership to Boost Youth Empowerment
The Kwara State Government and the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) have underscored the importance of strengthening collaboration in education, infrastructure, and youth empowerment.
Speaking to journalists in Ilorin, Nurudeen Adeyemi, a Board of Trustees member representing the North Central Zone of TETFund, praised the state government's focus on inclusive education and innovation. He stated that these priorities align with TETFund's mission to build resilient educational institutions.
Mr Adeyemi also commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his infrastructure development projects, human capital investments, and emphasis on education. He highlighted the establishment of the Kwara State University of Education as a landmark achievement, reflecting the governor's commitment to advancing teacher training and lifelong learning opportunities.
Adeyemi reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that empower youths with digital literacy, tech skills, and entrepreneurial capacity to thrive in the knowledge economy. He emphasised that sustainable development starts with equipping the next generation with tools to create, innovate, and lead.
Responding, Abdulrazaq reaffirmed the state's readiness to work more closely with TETFund and other relevant stakeholders to deliver high-impact projects that transform education outcomes across the state.
The meeting concluded with both parties emphasising the need for sustained collaboration to achieve long-term goals in education, innovation, and community development across the state and the north central region.
