Football Fans Happy with Quality of Players in Kwara United

Football fans in Ilorin are happy with the quality of players recruited by the coaches of Kwara United and have commended the board for laying a solid foundation for the team this season.

They noted that the team has the quality to challenge for the title this season after the players showcased high level of soccer artistry when they took on Rangers International in a pre-season friendly encounter in Ilorin on Sunday.

Kwara United defeated Enugu Rangers by a lone goal with Kabiru Sanusi getting the lone strike in the 8th minute of the gritty encounter.
Gbenga Adedeji revealed that they enjoyed the game and told the players of the club to make sure they prepare very well for the new season.

"I saw the friendly and Kwara United played very well. They should not relent on their oars because they must win at least a trophy next season".

Football stakeholders who gave their comment after the game described the new look Kwara United as enterprising and business minded which they attributed to the determination of the board under the chairmanship of Barrister Bamidele Aluko to bring back the lost glory of the state darling team.

They said that with necessary support, Kwara United will win laurels for the state and attract more football followers to the stadium anytime the club is playing.

The game which was played under the floodlight was another innovation that was commended as they believe it would further enhance usage of facilities provided by the state government.

The stakeholders said the large turn-out was another testimony that sports lovers admires lofty ideas that could move the state forward in the field of sports.

Kwara United Media Officer,Olayioye Ajide disclosed that other top flight matches have been line-up for the state darling team before the  league kick off.

Olayioye Ajide said the team has since moved to Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State where the players will begin final camping exercise till the commencement of the Nigeria Premier League.
