Kwara ALGON Elects New Leadership, Completes Executive Team
The Kwara State Chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) has finalised its leadership structure following a unanimous election process.
After the election of Abdullahi Abubakar Danladi, Chairman of Kaiama Local Government, as the Kwara State ALGON Chairman, the 16 Local Government Chairmen convened to complete the executive team.
The election results saw Nuhu Majeed Podo, Chairman of Ilorin South Local Government, emerge as Vice Chairman; Jolayemi Lanre Benjamin, Chairman of Isin Local Government, as Secretary; Hon. Sheu AbdulRahaman Ladan, Chairman of Ilorin West Local Government, as Treasurer; Abdullahi Bello, Chairman of Edu Local Government, as Financial Secretary; and Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf, Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, as the State Public Relations Officer.
Transparent process
This election was overseen by all 16 Local Government Chairmen in Kwara State and ensure a smooth and transparent process.
The ALGON Chairman, Abdulahi Abubakar, congratulated the executives and also appealed for a strong synergy between members to foster a unified front, ensuring the success of the current administration
