Unuanel Tips Eagles to Win in Rustenburg
Kwara United manager, Samson Unuanel is confident the Super Eagles will turn in a good result against the Walya Antelopes in Tuesday's last group match in Rustenburg at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
The Eagles placed third on the log behind Burkina Faso and Zambia must pick an outright win against the East Africans to be guaranteed a spot in the quarterfinals of the biennial football fiesta.
Unuanel said Eagles' manager, Stephen Keshi should psyche up his wards to bring out the killer instinct to roll over the Ethiopians.
"If a team are not doing well the coach and players are affected the more. So none will be more pressured to perform than the entire team.
"They're not a bad side despite the not too fair officiating but at least they should take solace in the fact that the alleged culprit has been sent packing.
"So what Keshi needs do at this point in time is to psyche up the players, adopt new tactics, watch the rear and attack. The material to win the tie against Ethiopia is there it just takes a little work on the players' psychology to get the work perfectly done.
"Though we're in a tight corner but we're still on the driving seat. I'm confident for a quarterfinal spot.
"Ethiopia are a good side, and will be playing for pride but we're playing for the quarterfinals ticket.
"The Eagles were not spectacular in the first game but improved in the second against Zambia and they'll be at their best against Ethiopia.
"Definitely, the Eagles won't let the chance for a quarterfinal berth slip off their hands. I'm sure of resounding victory tomorrow (Tuesday)," said the former Super Falcons' assistant coach to supersport.com.
The Eagles will advance to the quarterfinals should they defeat Ethiopia irrespective of the outcome of the encounter between group leaders, Burkina Faso and title holders, Zambia.
