Kwara United Embark on Journey to Ikenne for 2024 Valuejet Preseason Tournament
According to a news report from Independent, Kwara United Football Club departed from Ilorin to Ikenne, Ogun State on Monday to participate in the prestigious 2024 Valuejet preseason tournament.
The Valuejet Preseason Football Competition is set to commence on Wednesday at the impressive Remo Stadium, with the draws and a media parley scheduled for Tuesday, 23rd July 2024. In a discussion with the club's media, the General Manager, Bashir Badawiy, representing the chairman, Kumbi Titiloye, expressed the team's excitement and determination to make a significant impact at this year's event.
The club reached the semi-final stage of the competition last year and is committed to maintaining their strong performance in this tournament.
“As previously indicated, Kwara United is determined to harness its potential to the maximum and capitalize on it.
“We consider the preseason as an opportunity to train and prepare for the upcoming season, as evidenced by our participation in the Valuejet competition,”Badawiy asserted.
The Valuejet Preseason tournament serves as a valuable assessment for us, aiding in the evaluation of our readiness and identifying areas for improvement as we progress,”he added.
Having been semi-finalists in the championship in 2022 and 2023, Kwara United is prepared to compete in this year's edition as well.
