Emir of Ilorin Mourns the Loss of Galadiman Ngeri

According to a news report from Royal News, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the Galadiman Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate, Alhaji Umar Adelodun.

The Emir's spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, issued a condolence message quoting the Emir: “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. We receive the news of the demise of the Galadiman Ngeri with total submission to the will of Almighty Allah.”

Accroding to him, “Until his death, late Alhaji Umar Adelodun was the 11th Galadima. He was a loyal traditional chief with strong passion, dedication and commitments to the growth and development of Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State at large.

“He was full of life filled with culture, tradition and was always positive on issues that will continue to promote peace and unity among the people of Ilorin Emirate and beyond. His death is a rude shock due to his outstanding qualities and contributions to humanity.”

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari however condoled with the family members of the deceased, both immediate and extended especially, his widows and children.

He prayed that Almighty Allah should forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds and admit him into Al-janatul firdaos.
