Kwara backs business development
Kwara State government has assured that it will create a conducive environment for businesses to thrive.
It said this was part of its efforts to rescue businesses from imminent collapse.
The Permanent Secretary, Kwara State Ministry of Business, Innovation and Technology, Hajia Habiba Saidu, said this at the 53rd annual general meeting of the Kwara State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture at the chamber's secretariat.
Declaring the event open, the permanent secretary said the government would fully maximise the performance of the Executive Order 001, an ease of doing business, which Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, signed in 2021.
She said the present administration was not relenting in harnessing the state resources to provide an enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the state.
While appreciating the robust working relationship between KWACCIMA and the organised private sector towards the development of the state, Hajia Saidu urged members of the chamber to key into the NG-CARES programme of the State Government, aimed at supporting Small and Medium Scale Enterprises and for the eradication of poverty.
“I want to commend KWACCIMA for living up to expectations and I encourage them not to relent in their efforts at transforming and industrialising our state,” she said.
She added that the NG-CARES programme was strategically reinvigorated to ensure that funds are made available and accessible for viable businesses, co-operatives, groups and individuals to establish and grow their businesses in the state.
