How Scorpion Spikers, Offa VC won Abuja Invitational Volleyball Championship
The 2023 Abuja Invitational Volleyball Championship has ended with Scorpion Spikers and Kwara's Offa VC as champions by successfully seeing off 48 other teams in both the men's and women's categories.
Also speaking on the championship, president of, Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Musa Nimrod, commended the tournament's sponsor, adding that most of the players are raw talents with a number of them still writing secondary school exams.
“The competition consists of volleyball players who don't play in the league. This is the real grassroots we are talking about. I am not surprised with the performance of Offa because they have developmental programmes and they have always been together. The future is bright for the game because of them,” he said.
