Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi, has felicitated with Christian populace on Christmas celebration, urging them to seize the sacred moment to pray for the country and be their brothers' keeper.

The lawmaker, in a statement made available to newsmen in Ilorin by his media aide, Ibrahim Sheriff, enjoined people to celebrate with caution.

"I felicitate with our Christian brothers and sisters for the grace of celebrating yet another Christmas on the surface of the earth.

"During this festive period and beyond, I enjoin us all to celebrate and merry with caution, be security conscious and let us all pray for Kwara State and Nigeria at large.

"This season as exemplified by Christ, who the celebration is all about, is an opportunity to rededicate ourselves to serving God and humanity.

"I also use this opportunity to assure all and sundry of the continued dedication of the ninth Assembly to be pro-masses and ensure more dividends of democracy permeates the nooks and crannies of the state.

"I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous and more a fulfilling year 2020 in advance," the statement added.
