Former Kwara United head coach Abubakar Bala has disclosed his reasons for leaving Kwara United.

As reported on Futaa yesterday, Bala tended in his resignation as the head coach of the Harmony Boys, just over a year after joining the club in March 2018.

Asked if he left Kwara for results, Bala confirmed that his decision was actually based on what was happening in the boardroom.

"No, look at the table now, it's not about the result because the gap between the team and the 4th and 5th place team is just four points," he told Brila.

"The problem is the management is not even interested in the team again since they lost the election.

The former Flying Eagles assistant who also took NIger Tornadoes to the 2017 Aiteo Cup Final, added that support from the club's higher powers left much to be desired.

"They are not concerned about the team, I am just left alone so I just feel I shouldn't put too much burden and pressure on myself since the owners of the club don't even care about the team.

Bala also revealed that he is set to join up with the Nigeria U20 ahead of the FIFA World Cup in Poland this May.

"And even since I gave them the letter nobody has called me, I am chilling for now and will join the U20 camp later as planned," concluded Bala.
