Lanwa/Ejidongari endorses Kwara Deputy Speaker back to the House

Lanwa/Ejidongari Constituency in Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State today sponsored the purchase of Nomination and Expression of Interest Form for the present Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Mathew Okedare.

The gesture, according to the Constituents is to ensure that Okedare returned to the House unoppose from the Constituency and continue the good work he has been doing as their representative.

Led by all Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ward Chairmen, Women Leaders, Youth Leaders and various stakeholders from the Constituency to buy the form at the party Secretariat, the group who highlighted numerous achievements of the lawmaker noted that there has never been a time they regretted electing Okedare to represent them at the state assembly.

The constituency added that they were unanimously agreed to return the legislator to the House owing to his political experience as a grassroots politician and has never for once failed to live up to the people's expectations.

Speaking, one of the PDP Stakeholders from Bode Saadu Ward, Ibrahim Kosalamala further explained that arriving at such decision was very easy for the Constituency having witnessed Okedare's antecedent since his sojourn into politics several years back.

Kosalamala added that having been opportuned to held various political offices, the lawmaker was not a tribalistic leader as he always carry every member along in his dealings and activities.

Also speaking, another Stakeholder, Wunmi Ajayi Elebu from Lanwa Ward described Okedare's track record of achievements as one in all, stressing that no honourable member from Moro has achieved half of what the lawmaker has done for his Constituency.

Elebu noted that the legislator was a rare breed among the politicians as he was always after the general well-being of the people of his Constituency, saying that it was very easy for the people to make the choice of returning him back to the House.

In his address, the Peoples Democratic Party Chairman in Moro Local Government, Alhaji Oladimeji Sanusi commended the peoples gesture, saying that it is a testament that they appreciate his performance over the years.

Reacting to the development, the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Matthew Okedare who appreciated the Constituency's gesture stated that it would further spur him to do more for his people.

Okedare thanked them for sponsoring his return to the House, noting that his past experiences has prepared him to even achieve more and get closer to his people if eventually re-elected back to the House.
