The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association on Thursday 23rd August, 2018 commissioned an utra modern ICT training centre in Ilorin for the benefits of the younger ones to acquire the basic knowledge about information technology which could help them into their various choosen careers and most importantly for examination purposes.

Performing the official commissioning of the ICT Centre, the Ciroma of ilorin Barr. Abubakar Bature Sulu - Gambari, who stood in for HRH Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu Gambari CFR, the Emir of Ilorin, appreciated the efforts of the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) for the laudable initiative to improve the standard of education in not only within the Ilorin Emirate Community but the State in general. He urged the people to retrace the history and priotized the Islamic education that Ilorin is known for.

He noted that one of the ways to correct the moral decadence in our society today is to go back to the basis and ensure every sons and daughters have both Islamic and Western education.

Earlier, the Kwara State Commissioner for Education, Hajia Balikis Oniyangi, applauded the National Executive of IEYDA under Alhaji Babatunde Salahudeen as President. The Commissioner acknowledged the supportive and complementary roles of the Association towards educational development in Kwara State. She, however, pledged the readiness of the Kwara State governerment to partner and work with any youth group thinking in such direction.

The Kwara South Senator, Dr Rafiu Ibrahim, was represented by his Senior Legislative Aide (SLA), Alhaji Abdulrauf Akogun. The Senator while accessing the ICT Centre pledged to continue his support for the IEYDA to break more grounds and touch more lives.

Alhaji Soliu Mustapha, a House of Assembly hopeful, who also graced the occasion in person was elated with what he saw on ground at the IEYDA ICT Centre. He was happy to be part of the sucess story for the good of the Ilorin Emirate Community.

Also present was the representative of Mr Luqman Mustapha, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulmojeed Olanrewaju Oba.

The peak of the occasion was the cutting of the commissioning tape by the Ciroma of Ilorin, in the company of the Representative of the Kwara South Senator, Kwara State Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Alhaji Soliu Mustapha, other dignitaries and all members of the Association.
