Governor sympathizes with victims of Ilorin market fire

The Kwara State Governor, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed, has sympathised with the victims of a fire incident.

The fire ravaged the popular Baboko market in Ilorin West Local Government area of the state.

In a statement made available to Pulse by his Chief Press Secretary, Alhaji Abdulwahab Oba, the Governor expressed concern over the recurring fire incidents in the market.

According to him, the incessant fire outbreaks in the market have become worrisome.

Ahmed promised that government will dialogue with stakeholders in the market toward finding a lasting solution.

Governor Ahmed also called on market men and women to be extraordinarily careful in handling fire-prone materials to forestall re-occurrence. Governor Ahmed assured victims of government's commitment to ameliorating their sufferings.
